Electronic Samuel Beckett. Machinic Voice, Language and Mediation
2016 - 2026
Ongoing artistic-research project

Electronic Samuel Beckett: Machinic Voice, Language and Mediation investigates Beckett’s radio, television, prose and performance through sound, moving image, interfaces and machine-mediated voice.

The project examines confinement, disembodied speech, repetition, switching and technological control as artistic operations. Its artworks include Closed Circuit, Open · Joe · Close and Vox Inanis; related publications include three monographs and international chapters on Beckett’s electronic works and afterlives. The project also generated conferences, lectures and curatorial initiatives, including Beckett-Mexico, which remains a separate paused public programme and archive.
