lys hvitt · lyd hvit // light white · sound white

Text-based, participatory, generative and immersive audio-visual installation.
Multichannel sound, generative texts, moving images, text-to-speech, cloned voice and custom programming.

lys hvitt · lyd hvit // light white · sound white is a text-based, participatory, generative, immersive audio-visual installation that explores physical space through sound, moving images and programmed text. Visitors activate the work, setting in motion a responsive system in which sound, text and image unfold differently with each activation.

The installation returns to Sánchez’s sustained engagement with Samuel Beckett, especially the technologised image-body-voice and the idea of language as machine. Using text-to-speech processes and a cloned version of the artist’s voice, the work links generative media to questions of spatial perception, embodiment, light, land and sky.
