Edited monograph · Forthcoming
A forthcoming bilingual monograph devoted to Luz María Sánchez’s artistic practice, edited by Ryszard W. Kluszczyński and bringing together critical essays, the artist’s writing, poetry and visual material.
Luz María Sánchez: Transdisciplinary Art, Media, and Politics brings together critical perspectives on Sánchez’s practice across sound, moving image, installation and artistic research. Edited by Ryszard W. Kluszczyński, the bilingual Polish–English volume examines the relationships between violence, memory, archives, listening and political agency, alongside the ecological and ethical questions that emerge through her work.
Contributors are Ryszard W. Kluszczyński, Anne Huffschmid, Clio Flego, Jakub Zawodniak, Lucas Margarit, Morten Søndergaard, Josep Manuel Berenguer, Dolores Inés Casillas, Jordan Lacey, and Ana Paula Sánchez-Cardona. The volume includes Sánchez’s essays "I Open" and "I Switch On."
Developed in connection with In the Absence of the State, Sánchez’s 2024 retrospective at Galeria Miejska Arsenał in Poznań, the book offers a sustained encounter with the forms, methods and contexts of her work.
