An extended study of Luz María Sánchez’s practice through the concepts of the collection and the multiform artwork, published in Art Inquiry in 2021.
Ryszard W. Kluszczyński analyses Luz María Sánchez’s work through the concepts of the collection and the multiform artwork. Addressing violence, death and loss, the article examines how research, archives and databases generate works that take different material, spatial and participatory forms.
The discussion includes detritus, 2487, riverbank and the Vis.[un]necessary force series. It situates Sánchez’s practice at the intersection of artistic research, ethnography, cybercartography and political intervention, with particular attention to memory, interactivity and the agency of participants.
